He Leadeth Me . . .

He Leadeth Me . . .
Do you have important  decisions to make?  You may have some huge ones on your plate now, or you may be choice free at the moment.  One thing is for sure, if you live much longer, you will face important decisions.
I believe the choices we make have a huge impact.  Someone once said, "You make your choices and then your choices make you."  This being true, how do we make the right choices?
In the 23rd Psalm verse 3, the last part of the verse says . . . "He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake." (KJV)
The Bible compares us to sheep.  Shepherds say sheep do not see well; they can see ten to fifteen yards ahead.  They are also not very smart.  Sheep need very detailed guidance to stay safe, and health.  Yes, we are like sheep.
There is great news:  the shepherd wants to lead and guide His sheep.  He leads them down the right paths for their own health and well being.  He does this because he loves them, and for his own reputation and sake.
Folks, God loves you, and wants to guide your steps rightly, and He can do it!  Our job is to belong to the Shepherd, and stay as close to Him as we can be.  We need to listen to His words, and instructions, and then follow them faithfully.  This is simple, profound, and hard.
You have choices to make?  Let the Lord lead you and follow faithfully.  And remember, the person who follows God always gets to their (right) destination!
