Our contemporary worship leader is Linnea Fayard Allen. Linnea is married to Teddy and they have two grown children – daughter Emily, and son Casey – and a rambunctious, oversized Maltese named Gracie Lou.

Linnea earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications from Louisiana State University in Shreveport and a Master of Arts in counseling and guidance from Louisiana Tech University. She has been singing since she was very young and always felt a passion to inspire others through the gifts God gave her, with the belief that every stage offers an opportunity to share the Gospel. She gave her life to Christ at the age of 16, and since that time, has always felt most at home singing praise to the Lord.

The Bible verse she lives by is Romans 8:28 – “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Linnea believes that it is through hardship and times of despair or uncertainty that God can work His greatest miracles. And it is in those challenging times and through our imperfections that we can learn how best to reach and encourage others.

Linnea also currently holds the position of Cultural Communications Officer/Social Media Director at Origin Bank. She has more than 25 years of stage and television experience: she was the sports director for the CBS affiliate in Shreveport, has been a commercial spokesperson for numerous local, regional and national companies, has written, voiced and produced commercials and video projects, and is a former Miss Louisiana. As a singer, musician and emcee she has entertained across the U.S., from Branson to Honolulu and everywhere in between, and overseas in Tokyo. She is an award-winning community theater actress, a big supporter of Louisiana Tech, and an LSU football fanatic with an admitted addiction to all things chocolate.
