Who we are:
First College exists to glorify God by making disciples through gospel-centered
worship, community, service and outreach.
College is an extremely foundational time in a person’s life. Our desire at First College is to come alongside college students in order to help them develop into mature followers of Christ while also helping them discern God’s will for their lives both in the present and the future. We accomplish this goal through several different methods as listed in our mission statement: Gospel-centered worship, community, service, and outreach. This is all done in an effort to bring God the most glory.
When we meet:
8:45 am Traditional Service
9:50 am Connection Groups
11:00 am Contemporary Service
Awaken: (no service during summer)
8:00 pm College Worship Service @ The Depot
During School: Various times throughout the week
On Sunday mornings we gather together at the Depot at 9:50 am for a time of food, fellowship, and teaching. This time is centered around in-depth teaching of God’s word. Whether we are walking through a book of the bible or studying a specific topic, our goal is to become thoroughly knowledgeable about God’s word. We hope you will come and join us for a great time of teaching.
Awaken is our Wednesday night college worship service that we do at 8 pm in the Depot. This time is centered around worshiping God through music, prayer, and biblical preaching. Our goal during this time is to join together as a body of believers and worship God in remembrance of what He has done for us, and what He calls us to do for Him. The sermons are culturally relevant and geared toward college students, but more importantly they are always biblically sound. We hope you will take a break from all that is going on during the week come and join us for a great time of worship.
We encourage every student to join either a Sunday or Thursday night small group. This is a time where we meet in homes across town for more intentional fellowship. The goal of this time is to fellowship and grow in our walks with one another. It is centered around learning how to put feet to the various spiritual disciplines that are necessary in the Christian walk; disciplines such as accountability, how to have an effective quiet time, prayer, service, and outreach. We hope you will come and be a part of this
great time of fellowship.
